GENESIS. 39 " WIDE BY 59" HIGH. Raku
fired ceramic pieces are used to frame and accentuate the oil on canvas. There
is also copper wire and copper tape integrated on and around the piece . Click on
the image to enlarge it and I have also included a close up of the raku in the next frame.

TROPICAL FOREST. 33" wide by 38" high. Raku
fired ceramic "valance" tops this oil on canvas inspired by the many Hammocks in
the Florida Keys. Check out the next frame for a close up of the top.
The copper raku glazes give a rich metallic look. |

HIGH. The 16 x 20 center image is Oil on a canvas board. That is then mounted on
another board with additions of cloth, copper and acrylics. The outside is inset
with Raku fired ceramic. |

ENDANGERED REEF..47" WIDE BY 31" HIGH. This is
another combination of Raku fired ceramic on oil canvas. The whole piece is wrapped
in copper foil tape. Thus the shiny criss cross patterns on your screen. This piece
is inspired by the fragile environment of our beautiful coral reef along the Florida
Keys ( like the reef this piece is fragile.) |
